Daily Trade Recap: July 16th, 2026-Plan Your Morning Like A Pro Trader

Students, today’s recap comes down to one main lesson: the best trades start before the market opens. If you want more consistency in your trading, you need to plan your levels, your scenarios, and your risk before the first candle ever forms.

The biggest mistake I see traders make is trying to think too much once the market is live. That is usually where emotion takes over. When you are reacting in real time, you are more likely to chase price, hesitate on entries, or abandon a good plan after a small move against you. A pro trader does the opposite. A pro trader comes in with a clear map.

This is why I always push you to build your morning around structure. Identify the key levels first. Know where support is. Know where resistance is. Decide what I will do if price holds, and decide what I will do if price breaks. That way, I am not guessing in the heat of the moment. I am executing a plan that I already thought through with a clear head.

What separates a prepared trader from an impulsive one is not intelligence. It is discipline. If I already know my levels, my entries, and my invalidation points, then the market does not have to decide for me. I decide first, and then I let price confirm the setup. That is how I keep myself grounded and avoid emotional trades.

The lesson for you is simple: treat your morning like preparation for a business decision, not a casino visit. The more work you do before the open, the less pressure you feel during the session. And the less pressure you feel, the better your decisions become.

So for your next trading day, focus on one thing: build the plan before the market opens, then follow it without hesitation. That is how you start trading with more confidence, more discipline, and more consistency.
