  • Emotional Observation: My morning meditation was not as relaxed as my trading session today. I felt more calm during the trade than I have in the past. I just exectued, minimal thoughts of money on the sell and so overall, this is one of the first times I actually felt improvment on my mental state.
  • High-Beta Observation: still a little on the sells, I was thinking a little much about the last sell but held for that second and overcome it and just executed prior to letting greed or fear set in.
  • Best Moment: the entries and the overall sell. no hesitation with entry or add, felt confident for once. sold nicely and the goal was not to look at PnL until way after the session was complete and after I journaled which I was able to follow through on.
  • One Thing Noticing: it helps to talk myself through minimizing PnL thoughts prior to open and focusing on letting them go. tying my moment the other day with the impact of the results on Stroop as soon as I take a peak at how I am doing. the The perfectionist and the scorekeeper take over the instant I take a look. this is the exact same as PnL with my trades
  • Tomorrow’s Intention: same as today, no PnL thoughts until after reflection in my journal.

  • Emotional Observation: Took SPY long on a bit of a quick dip down to it’s sup level. Then it came up to it’s resistance level and kept testing that level. I was a little tempted to take it short, but Qs was holding Support. I didn’t want to give in to the temptation & greed & potential take a subpar trade. Also wanted to exercise discipline. I also already took a nice trade in for the morning session. So Stuck to the one and done, remained calm & neutral.
  • High-Beta Observation: I don’t think there were really any high-beta moments that I can tell
  • Best Moment: I’d say not taking a second trade that could’ve been potentially riskier was a pretty clear moment. Reading the price action & seeing that certain things didn’t quite line up, thus reducing the odds of success. Caught myself from potentially giving my gains back.
  • One Thing Noticing: It was interesting that I noticed & caught what seemed like a potentially dangerous situation.
  • Tomorrow’s Intention: Stay calm, focused, neutral & act with intention.

  • Emotional Observation: very focused on breathing. Getting easier to ‘turn Alpha on’ at will. makes me Patient in Pays. impulse to cut early ID’d and dismissed. Last exit b/c of Pat’s “might squeeze” and had 25% (1 of 4 total contracts) left. decision to close with that large remaining a good one.

  • Emotional Observation: Had some anxiety but it was mostly because I lost focus and missed entering on the candle I should have so when I entered 2 candles later, realized could be playing with fire.
  • High-Beta Observation: Entering the trade knowing I missed the time I should have entered because I lost focus for a minute.
  • Best Moment: Once in the trade & having anxiety, talked to myself and was quickly able to overcome it even sitting back in my chair to see how it was going to unfold.
  • One Thing Noticing: Getting better at overcoming the anxiety when it surfaces. This should be progress to having it surface less often, especially when trading minimal number of contracts.

  • Emotional Observation: I was not emotionally calm leading into the trade, nor during the trade. I jumped the gun getting in and getting out.
  • High-Beta Observation: I had several bouts today. Before trading, I was anxious. I also reacted wrong when I entered on a red candle instead of patiently waiting for the next candle to hit my entry plan.
  • Best Moment: My best moment was setting down after I knew I had entered wrong. I mentally worked out my next adds to properly stay in the trade. I also decided that I’d properly wait for my stop instead of panic selling if the market moved against me.
  • One Thing Noticing: Today was not a good day for me. I let emotions dictate my trades on entry and my final two exits.

  • Emotional Observation: happened fairly quick so no time to really overthink or get in my head.
  • High-Beta Observation: on the sell, I was thinking about when to sell as opposed to just observing the chart and paying at natural. I am noticing now that it was rooted subconsciously in PnL thoughts however I didnt recognize that in the moment.
  • Best Moment: no hesitation, just execution.
  • One Thing Noticing: it is volatile today and idrection is to size down… It was right into level and I took 1 contract… and I using the volatility as an excuse to not start with the proper size? or am I doing the right thing? I need to dig deep into this one
  • Tomorrow’s Intention: more prepared at the open with more insight into the plans. being Monday and volatile, I think I used that as an excuse to slack on my preparation.

  • Emotional Observation: Took SPY short into It’s short Level. Payed pretty quick on 1st reaction pullback. Then it Squeezed pretty far but didn’t fully confirm past stop out level. It started to look like it didn’t want to go very much higher. Reentered, added on pop, payed on pullback & just took last 1 off as it was kind of basing at a natural area. I felt pretty in tune to the price action and felt calm & focused for pretty much the whole morning session.
  • High-Beta Observation: I don’t think there were really any High-Beta
  • Best Moment: It seemed like I was reading the price action pretty decently. So it seemed like I could kind of tell when the price action started to get “tired out”. So I decided to re-enter as it was looking toppy. And of course I’ve got to give credit to Pat’s guidance that helped break down the price action as well
  • One Thing Noticing: I felt like I could read the price action pretty well for the most part. Which I think of course can be attributed to a combination of following the Core-Alpha protocol, sticking to the TT strategy & the trade plans, & Pat’s guidance
  • Tomorrow’s Intention: I’m going to stay calm, focused, neutral & act with intention

  • Emotional Observation: I was super uncomfortable as SPY kept pushing basically from the open until after 10:00 without any real pullback.
  • High-Beta Observation: I wanted to stop out at the $1.00 standard risk area, but kept in the trade following what Pat doing to manage the trade as part of Momentum.
  • Best Moment: It felt like a bit of a “win” personally because I didn’t panic in the trade and actually traded way more contracts than I ever have. That was intentional on my part. I was either going to manage the trade out or take a substantial loss, but I was ok with it. I need to push myself to level up and grow as a trader. I wouldn’t have used that much size outside of Momentum, but also felt confident that it would work.
  • One Thing Noticing: I’m not getting rattled if a trade doesn’t immediately do what I want it to do.
  • Tomorrow’s Intention: Mapping out sizing, entries, and exit decisions before the market opens.

  • Emotional Score: 3 Trade Plan Score: 7
  • Meditation Birds: 37 Trade Birds: 19
  • Meditation Recoveries: 84 Trade Recoveries: 130

  • Emotional Observation: I was definitly stressed all the way through but I was able to focus on it, step back and work my way through it. acknowleging the impulses and emotions and not acting on them and allowing the chart to work
  • High-Beta Observation: up and down throughout the trade. during some of the last adds when it was in max risk. and then as i sold. I could tell I was panicky as I was selling. I knew I was slightly red still but had reduced
  • Best Moment: Not allowing the higher stress moment to dictate my actions. I was able to fight through them and just let things work. I was able to work on so many different thigs and see multiple swings of emotions that I was able to recognize and work through.
  • One Thing Noticing: on selling, I am still thinking of PnL and working on getting out at breakeven. I need to acknowledge this one on sells and let it go, relaxing while hitting the button
  • Tomorrow’s Intention: I am still thinking of PnL and working on getting out at breakeven. I need to acknowledge this one on sells and let it go, relaxing while hitting the button

  • Emotional Observation: Keep calm most of the time. I had the emotion of wanting to keep adding. They were signs that I could observe and they didn’t become decisions.
  • High-Beta Observation: I had slight fear of having to possible stop out. It was triggered by the chart being around risk area. It didn’t last long, keep focusing on charts and Pat
  • Best Moment: Last Add before the chart came in. Small size and trusting Pat made it possible
  • One Thing Noticing: I was able to keep my size small until I needed to add to correct avg.
  • Tomorrow’s Intention: Keep calm and follow the plan.
